Memorial Garden and Columbarium
The SIPC has designated space on its grounds for a Memorial Garden and Columbarium as a living memorial to those who have borne testimony to our resurrected Lord and a quiet comfort to those who remain. This part of the church campus also includes space for the scattering of cremains.
The Memorial Garden is available to members of the SIPC and their families, members of other Presbyterian Churches (USA), and others approved by the Trustees. The person making the reservation may choose from the niches available or allow the Board of Trustees to do so. Reservations are accepted upon receipt of payment per person or per couple and completion of the reservation form. The niche fee includes container, plague, inscription and perpetual care and maintenance. Niches may be reserved in advance of actual use by execution of the document mentioned above. If after reserving a niche, circumstances are that it is no longer desired, the Trustees have the right and will, if desired, to repurchase the niche. In any event, any new person using the niche must comply with the above criteria. For information regarding the cost and availability of niches, please contact the church business administrator Trish Wescott at 525-0696.
How We Share the Compassion of Christ
Nurture and pastoral care are ways in which Christians minister to one another. The nurture of believers and their children in the Christian community is a process of bringing them to full maturity in Jesus Christ. Pastoral Care is the support which Christians offer one another in daily living and in times of need and of crisis in personal and communal life. Often nurture involves pastoral care and pastoral care furthers Christian nurture.
Please call the church office when you or a loved one are hospitalized. If you are homebound, arrangements can be made for the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper to be administered at your residence. We are only a telephone call away at 525-0696.

Stephen Ministers
Stephen Ministers provide ongoing Christian care to people experiencing a wide range of life needs and crises, including: the hospitalized, the terminally ill, those bereaved, the divorced or separated, the elderly, the disabled or handicapped, those in a job crisis, the lonely and discouraged, first-time parents, empty nesters, the sandwich generatioin, new members of our congregation, and those in spiritual crisis. These are the obvious needs, the kinds you can see listed in our Stephen Ministry brochures. But there are also less obvious needs for which a person could benefit from the care of a Stephen Minister. I would like to mention a few of those now.
The quiet sufferer, the unnoticed one. This maybe someone who encounters a series of smaller lossess, stresses, or problems- any one of which he or she could normally take in stride- but when added together pose a bigger challenge. it could also be someone simply affected by the timing of a certain loss. The loss itself may not normally be significant, but when taken in the context of the person's life situation at that point in time, it may be much more difficult to handle.
Another need that often goes unnoticed is that of family members of a person in crisis. These are situations where a Stephen Minister could provide a high level of care to someone in a crucial, but often forgotten role.
If you are interested in becoming a Stephen Minister or are in need of a Stephen Minister, please call Pastor Steve Keeler at 525-0696.
